Zagreb

Last stop on the trip was Croatia's capital, Zagreb, an unexpected pleasant find, and the most Western-European place we've been so far while here in the Old World.
Kikiriki!

Totally.

Amazing donut-ish fritters.

Yes, that is a sausage

Mmmmmm, pork....

Downtown

Cathedral

Awesome

Read the menu item names, as well as the small print under the header

Smoked German beer

This neighborhood once burned down in a fire.  The only thing to survive was this shrine to Mary.

St. Mark's church

Fun museum

Where to next?

Insanely huge cemetery

Awesome gravestone

There are no kettle-style chips in Greece or Bulgaria, so we were thrilled to find (expensive tiny) bags of them in the Budapest Airport on our layover

Finally home!
